So I have been working out and eating well yet I have gain 5 pounds in 3 days. I am getting very frustrated! I feel like its pointless since all this exercise and healthy eating is only maintaining my current weight.
165.6 lb Lost so far: 1.4 lb.    Still to go: 35.6 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

You could be gaining muscle, which does weigh more than fat. Good luck!!

You have to be really honest with yourself. Are you on plan 100% or are you going off and on? Are you drinking water to flush out sodium? Are you eating too many processed foods (contain a lot of sodium)? Are you getting enough lean protein, dairy, fruits and veggies (what you eat can be as important as how much)? Gains that aren't attributed to food mean it's most likely water weight. This can happen when you take it too much sodium, start new medications, that time of the month, start a new exercise plan or change the old one (muscles retain water when they get sore). I can gain 4 pounds overnight when I do a long bike ride. I know it's temporary. You may also need to adjust your caloric intake. Try zig zagging calories (high and low days). Get in plenty of protein and high fiber foods (they fill you up more). You need to keep changing things up till you find what works.

You know what's missing? Veggies...they can help jumpstart your metabolism.
