Penlan's Journal, 04 January 2017

And so it starts.

i was woken, from a lovely dream, by a text from mother. It simply said 64.4kg. It seems she has lost 2 kilos in a couple of days. You can go right off some people. It cost quite a lot for the meat, cheese, butter, cream, wine, and chocolate to put weight on her, and to see it all disappear so quickly is somewhat disheartening. Not really, we had a good time and it was worth every penny.

The added bonus is I get the boiled bones. The turkey broth is finished, mutton now for a few days. Over here in Wales it is called Cawl. That has leeks and veg in too, here and there. Up north where I come from it would he scrag end of mutton. If it were poorly butchered, and meaty bones, it would be a stew. I butchered this old ewe myself, and believe me, being a true Yorkshire lass, there's not much meat on these bones. I think posh people would call it bone broth. I am happy with boiled bones.

If it keeps me going and encourages me to use my own fat I am happy. Even happier as I like it!

i looked back on the last year weight tracker. Seems I am the same now as this time last year, so it is as if the last year never happened. I did get down to a record low of 66.6 in August. It was a steady slow decline, and then up again. Probably not exactly yoyo dieting, unless it happens again. I am encouraged that it hasnt gone entirely backwards ... I have to be able to take something positive from the disaster of 2016.

I will honour myself and step back into the groove.
It is good to be good to myself and put myself first.
Hard, but good.
Living is good.
Better than the alternative.....

Only the best survives, so it stands to reason that you are the best. We are all the best. And we are all at our best. We rarely realise it.
