sounds like a good plan.

I may join you in a couple of weeks. I'm just starting to experiment with keto, I don't trust my body to know what to do without food yet.

Sounds good, James. It's just another option.

Just relented & made coffee myself. Felt like I needed that tbsp of coconut oil. I've only had hot, black tea and water up till now. It's just after 3PM here and that's always when I feel a little peckish. So far, so good.

I'm about to have my second bulletproof. I will easily be below 300 calories today though.

How are you under 300 if you do Bulletproof with coconut oil and butter? Mine is over 300 calories with almond milk. I guess you do no milk?

1 tbsp of either. I mess with everything.

I have probably visited the bathroom 18 billion times already today, as I've substituted hot decaf tea and a gallon of water for breakfast & lunch. Other than a little lightheadedness, all is well (wait- that was pretty lame whining. Let me think...). It huuuuurrrrrttts! (Better?) Re: Bulletproof - too many calories. Black coffee is zero. Gotta keep it under 1200 to lose weight.

Tea is also a mild diuretic, so it's helping move that water through. I'm experiencing similar symptoms. Not sure fasting will make it to my A-list. Glad I'm giving it a shot though. You don't know until you try. :D

Soon. I feel for you. I have to keep it under 2500.

Fasting is great, hope it worked out today. 16/8 is my typical cycle, stretching to a full 24hrs once a week. Brad Pillon has a popular book "Eat-Stop-Eat", Brad advocates 2 x 24hr fasts per week.

Soon's getting better at whining. Good stuff, I never really considered my current WOE as pretty much a permanent intermittent fast but I think it actually qualifies. Good times.

I don't know how you all do it. I fall all apart if I go longer than 8 hours(and that's pushing it) without eating. Do you slow your activity levels as well on fast days?

A bit of advice - go the your local herb store and buy you some "NOW" kelp - you will not get hungry - someone will have to MAKE you eat if you take this and drink you bulletproof coffee!

Nicho. ZzzzZzzzzzZzzzz :D It's not that bad actually. You just don't eat. Easy.

Nicholaix, read chapter 18 of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. My particular version of a ketogenic diet uses that chapter as a template. I don't always stick to a "fat fast", but most days I don't go over the recommendations in the book. Days when I'm actively fat fasting I'll put off eating anything as long as possible then it's usually a tablespoon of butter or an ounce of cheese, that really kicks the hunger to the curb. If you ever get keto-adapted you won't even notice.

A bit astonished. Full day fasted, almost bedtime, same weight as this morning's wake up. It could be it will drop over night, or it could be the creatine has kicked in. Have some oats soaking for tomorrow morning's breakfast. We'll see what the morning brings.

Yep, did LCHF for the better part of a year and lost a fair bit. Got very hard to sustain and meet all nutrient needs with no dairy( allergic). Avocados and nuts are quite expensive here and I don't eat processed foods. I could eat only so much peanut butter, olive oil, and eggs, lol. I still couldn't do longer than 8 hours fasting without fizzing out though. It wasn't because I was hungry, I just couldn't keep up physically without getting really tired. Maybe it was something to do with my health issues.

Nicho. Is that for the calcium? I erm.... Chalk is edible. Yes, chalk. It's calcium carbonate. I'd buy the white. Blend it into your bulletproof coffee? Put it in a coffee grinder and add some to baking? Stop laughing! Check it out. :)
