I have yet to get used to this dieting "lifestyle change" thing. It still sucks. I like watching my weight change but sometimes I just don't want to be so restricted. I guess there will come a time where i can be a little more lenient.

I think we all feel that. It may never be easy but someday it will suck less :)

Yes, maybe focus on portion control so still you can have some of your favorites?

HCB-Portion control is definitely something I need to work on. At this point I would struggle not to eat a pan of brownies. haha

Right?! I go from feeling exactly as you described to really motivated and feeling like nothing can stop me.... and then back again. Its a bit of a roller coaster for me. I find if I can hold out during the "bluh" times there is some motivation right around the corner. You got this!

i've had so many moments that i'd cry to myself "i'll never be able to NOT care, i'll always have to watch what i eat, always be careful..." and it sucks. i mean i allow myself a treat now and then, but hitting my goal weight is only the beginning... this is forever for me.. so i def feel your pain

MILEHIGHMARTI-Makes you wonder is it this way for every skinny person?? haha. I give in to one treat and I gain 2 lbs and I have to work harder and longer to get back to where I was. Its challenging for sure.

NAIOMY- If you eat something unhealthy does your body still hold onto it the same as it did before you lost all the weight? I just keep thinking once I reach my goal it wont her to indulge here and there. Because i will only have to work hard to lose a couple lbs to get back on track and not putting myself farther from a goal that is already taking forever. haha

I agree with the it'll suck less idea. However for me to be able to get rid of a lot of crapy cravings like sweets and bread stuff, I took a long look at what it did to my body, totally deformed it, purely psychological. I just recently found pure pleasure with the simplest foods raspberries, plain yogurt nothing added, greens have never tasted better. I don't believe in cheat days but sometimes once in a blue moon if I know I can afford it calorie wise or portion wise I indulge in a fix.

Ps, it was never easy to come to terms to eliminate in my menu what hurts me, knowing that my family still eats lots of these same (bad) foods...

You must say to you that is good on the moment , but after , you will regret it. 😊

No for sure you can definately indulge in moderation! but my life will consist of lower carbs, high protein, no sugar/bread/pasta/rice and then occasionally i will allow myself a treat. my last cruise i gained 9 lbs!... and it took me MONTHS to lose it all... hate that i can't just be a normal person lol.

NAIOMY- I say that all the time! I wonder if its just me? Does anyone else gain weight by just looking at food?? haha I can gain 4-6 lbs if i eat one unhealthy meal and then spend a week trying to get it off. I just don't understand that.

I've tried to think of it as some grand adventure. I like to cook and I've had to learn a whole new way using things like almond meal. It's sort of like learning a new language. Some days it does depress me, usually when I am dealing with the "outside world" which doesn't approve of my low carb lifestyle. Eating out can be hard as well. But I have more good days than bad. And I know it will be worth it in the end.

BRINELLA-I agree. The weight will come off over time if you are healthier most of the time. Its hard to remember that when you want such fast results.

I can honestly agree here.. the struggle is real.. making it a life style has been a challenge for me.. and fighting the outside world.. date night is def a challenge ...

talk about the outside world, just spent one week vacation far from home and stopping at odd places and the food choices out there are just so wrong, bread bread pasta rice and more bread... oh! and fries... even at this one place they did had salad but they put so little effort into it that it looked very sad, though delicious only to me...
