marlajune's Journal, 24 July 2015

I'm convinced that Ketogenics will reset my basal metabolism and get me out of the insulin resistance I've been stuck in. Day 1 has been a breeze! Wouldn't it be great if every day were this easy? I know it won't be so I'm enjoying the feeling of satisfaction that comes from knowing I did TODAY right!

Plus I ordered that rockin' Body dance video set to help me amp up my cardio. I'm not a runner and with all the rain we've had walking skating or bicycling has been unavailable. I live too far away from any gym. Until we get our house built I have very small space to work out in. I do the Body Fat Makeover exercises that I can do (push ups, sit ups, squats, calf raises. Pilates and yoga are also something I try to do twice a week.

Maybe this time I will get some results! Believing the best for my future weight and body!

Thank you! I'm very excited to be doing this. I will hate the head aches and etc. that come as my body goes from using glycogen to using fat. How has it been for you?

I did not struggle at the beginning because I had already been on a plan with little grains. I dropped dairy and then increased the healthy fats so no headaches at the time.
