I know I need to eat less, exercise more. So why can't I do it! I find it hard to lose when you sit at a desk all day. I need to move more, maybe try to get up every 20 minutes and move. Easier said than done. Sister has lost 20 lbs since Sept. 1, but she's not really eatting much, mostly veges, protein, fruit. When she started she cut out all sugars, alcohol, carbs, dairy for 2 weeks. It drops off her and she only gets on her treadmill 10 minutes a day. I would love to get to 150 lb before April 1. 15 lbs. sounds doable right? Been doing Jazzercise for 20 years, maybe out to try something different. Swimming? Ugh! I've got to get a plan down and stick to it.

When I have to sit for long periods, I walk around the building every 15 or 20 minutes. When I'm out driving with the hubby (he's a courier) I get out of the truck and walk up and down the sidewalk at all his longer stops. Every step helps.

Today I went for a walk at lunch 5,000 steps! It's a start. Thanks, msbuggirl, I needed the push.

Slap on a pedometer and aim for 10,000 steps a day. It makes you more aware and you become more active. Switching up activities is a great idea. You might also think of adding some strength training type video or class. As we age, we lose a percentage of muscle each year. If you build it back up, you will burn more calories naturally. Protein and high fiber foods also help with fat loss.

Walking is fantastic. I take Daisy out almost every day (depending on schedule). On days I don't have to go anywhere we walk for 2 1/2 hours (I walk slow due to back issues). Point is, we get exercise and have a good time.

Strength training is terrific for your body, helps stave off or improve osteoporosis. Everyone is so different on what works for them for diet and exercise, you might have to adjust somethings and see what works.

Thanks for all your suggestions. Yesterday was a good day with a walk and Jazzercise. Today it's raining so didn't walk. Will try to do a video tonight. I would like to try to find a great workout video for strength training. Does anyone have any suggestions?
