Right, it feels good... but I would still be struggling without all the friends I've met here. Those in my every day life don't get it, they think it's too much work..

It does take time to figure out the calories in food, but it's not like the old days when you had to buy a book or pocket guide. Just google it! 8 months ago I started coming here. I was googling the calories and carbs and FatSecret was in the results. I saw people here talking about BMI and I needed to know that, so I would know what my goal weight should be. Glad I joined!

WFN - I think a lot of people tend to think weighing/measuring/logging is too much work. To me, it's one of the best tools we've got. Deb, I couldn't agree more with what you said. When I first started, I was tracking on an excel worksheet, looking up every food via google. You might imagine that got old FAST. Had it not have been for FatSecret, I'd have given up because the worksheet and constant looking up WAS a lot of work. Even on crazy busy days, logging my food takes a couple minutes at most.

Right, I have three calorie books, a slew of books on different methods, notebooks full of tracking and adding up calories. It was a time consuming chore. I still spend much time here, but most is not tracking and I can a sensible spreadsheet.

Losing weight and getting healthy is work and also a lifetime commitment to work at keeping healthy. It's worth it, both for health and for all the extras that come along with it. My life is so much better in more ways then I can count, now if I could get my pup potty trained consistently I'd be in really good shape..... :))).

Ahhhh the days of not being able to go barefoot in my own house due to puddles. I remember it well. Best of luck with the training. What kind of puppy and how old?

I thought we were good months ago, she has reverted. She's 1/2 Boston terrier and 1/2 who knows, mom escaped to play. One year 4 months. My old man dog has copied her. Ugh!!!
