Please look Into portion control. A diet strategy involves more than just selecting foods and combinations. Make a record and weight the food to calculate calories. Ans bravo, for the treadmill. A step in the right direction in terms of better cardio health.

Are you logging all the food you're eating? Your food log looks a little spotty so it's hard to make suggestions without the full picture... Hang in there, and great on the treadmill!!

Looks like your numbers are pretty good (% wise). My only suggestion would be to forgo the Low-carb foods (tortillas, Atkins candies, etc.). There are some foods that will knock you right out of ketosis and you'll be in perpetual in/out and never really get anywhere. Even if you were able to eat them before, the ingredients can change and/or your body can.

Truthfully, Darlene, I don't even know what 'ketosis' is...but why the tortillas? that's the only thing I use if I want a sandwich, otherwise I'd go nuts........

The point of Atkins is to eat few enough carbs so that your body adjusts from running on carbs to running on fats ("ketosis"). If you eat a certain number of carbs or fewer (debates exist about what that number truly is and it is probably different for each person) you will be in that state of Ketosis. If you up your carbs beyond that point, your body is then running on carbs again and you are not in Ketosis. Anyway, the tortillas (even the ones considered low carb) will usually knock you out of ketosis because of what they are made of. If you can't go without tortillas, you may want to look into not doing Atkins. It isn't for everyone. If you want to continue with Atkins (or just low carb/high fat), you might want to read a bit more about the process and science behind it. I'd suggest looking at the website DietDoctor and check out the LCHF for Beginners.

I am struggling as well. I have been doing the induction phase for 3 weeks now (Starting my 4th week) and the first 2 weeks maybe lost 6lbs and my 3rd week I lost 0lbs! I am tracking all of my food and I am always under 15net carbs. I drink a ton of water and am averaging 1200 calories a day and between 30-50 fat grams. Why am I not losing more weight :-(

It will come JBaksys and you too Kmkjmomma if you stick to plan. It's frustrating when you're in a stall or even gain but one of these days you will step on the scale and you'll be down a few. I've found that when I have a big "swoosh" down, I am always up the next day but eventually that will be lost and soon you will have a new low. Good luck and don't give up! And they do have very low carb wraps that I think are only 4 net grams of carbs. I actually have some that we haven't tried yet. They don't look like they taste like cardboard but I will have to see!

The low carb wraps that I have I purchased at WalMart. They're actually very good, and definitely do not have a cardboard texture lol - LaBanderita Low carb, 2g fat, 5g carbs, and Ole'Foods Extreme Wellness (same company) 0g fat and 5 carbs. much better than some of the others I've tried and also a lower price - think they're about $3.50 to $3.80 for 8 wraps.

If something isn't working, modify what you're doing and try it out for a bit to see what happens. If you want a sandwhich, have a salad with the same fixings instead.. it's the same thing just no tortilla. Don't give up, because this is all trial and error-- you have to find what works best for YOU and your body. JBaksys maybe try getting your carbs up to be closer to 20 everyday, that's said to be the optimum amount to get into ketosis.

Are you measuring?

shadowx1110, maybe my carbs are too low? I've been keeping it lower than that with the attitude that lower is better but have been in a slump.
