Low Carb Diets - Do they work for everyone?

I've been dieting on and off for years and have tried just about every diet. Low carb is the ONLY thing that has ever worked for me and my doctor is fully supportive. He sees what works for his patients including cholesterol levels, blood pressure, blood sugar, etc. and he knows the key is to cut out carbs. We need some carbs obviously but we can get those from our veggies, some nuts, and other healthy carb sources. I love avocados! Grains are completely out for me but I'd love to eventually be able to add in some whole grains eventually but not until I hit goal.
I'm not against people choosing what works for them. Some people need to cut out carbs to be able to get to their calorie goals. If you could refrain from over eating them, you would have the same results with incorporating carbs, however.
I disagree with your evaluation of my diet - I eat more calories that I ever ate before going low carb. If I had 2000 calories a day of what most people consider a "normal" diet with fruits, whole grains, etc., and 2000 calories a day LCHF, I would lose on the LCHF but not on the "normal" diet.
