mcarthey's Journal, 24 May 2007

So I've always weighed myself in the mornings. I realize weight fluctuates throughout the day so I never vary from this and I honestly am not hung up on weighing myself. I usually go days without hitting the scale. I wouldn't have weighed myself this morning except I felt like I didn't eat much yesterday despite eating more than the book recommended for the last day of Phase 2. I was surprised to see that I was down today. My weight for yesterday was actually from a couple of days prior, I just hadn't had time to put it in, so I really didn't lose that much in a day. I am starting Phase 3 today since I know that 240 has always been a plateau for me. The book discusses this in Phase 3 so it seemed appropriate that I hit it at this point. Today my kid's school has a run/walk that I volunteered at. I'll likely just be recording times, but I'm sure there will be some work involved and I'll be outside from 8am to 1pm, so it'll be tough to stay on target today. I know they're going to have bagels and juice (ahhhh!) which I really don't like. I read a long time ago that a bagel is no different than a donut as far as the body is concerned. I still remember and believe that. I'll have to pack a cooler full of things this morning for me and my daughter.
Enjoy your day!

Sounds like you're preparing yourself. That's great! Good for you for losing 20 lbs so far. Remember to do Phase I one day a week when you're on Phase III to shock your body. Maybe that will get you past your plateau. Keep up the Great work!

You are so on the right track...keep up the good work! When you start a new Phase it is always overwhelming, but you can do it, just remember your portion size and when you start to feel full, walk away! You can do it, I know you can!

You have done such a great job so far, I see no reason why it shouldn't keep going. I can relate to sticking points, I have been bouncing between 147-152 FOREVER, ugh!
