Good morning!

Wife and I got out of bed WAY too early today, at 3:45 AM. A ridiculous time to get up when one isn't going to work, huh?

Anyways, up we are and weigh-in is done, and here I am... writing journal, talking a little with Wife, and enjoying the 2nd half of my Deep Purple concert on TV. It's a pretty good alternative to being in bed, sleeping the day away. :)

...

Yesterday went pretty much as planned, food wise. I didn't get to go AS low as I wanted on a Low Cal Day. I could tell that I needed a little more food, and I had it - but made smart choices.

I had 10g of the super satisfying dark chocolate that I bought. It's interesting - this particular chocolate doesn't give ANY cravings for more. I wish I could buy more of this to kill the urge for sweets now and then. Sadly, this was a market product and I have no idea where to ever find it again. Boo.

I ended up having consumed 920 calories over the course of the day. Not bad at all.

...

The scale shows the result. I am back within 100g of my weigh-in from Saturday morning. Indulgence Days (which was Saturday) always makes me gain weight, and Saturday was no exception. Still, Sunday I had the lowest post-Indulgence Day weigh-in in quite a while.

So, I'm happy to be down in weight today.

....

Looking at the finer print, I'm not fully sure whether I like the other numbers.

Some are up that should be down, other are down that should be up, and some are just great!

Weight is down - this is good.
Muscle is down - this is bad.
Fat% is up - this is bad.
Water is down - this is good.

I think what I see in this, and what is the main kicker, is that when I weighed the same three days ago, I had THREE LITERS of water more in my body. I have drained three full liters of fluid in three days. That is pretty wild.

Obviously, this will show a decrease in muscle, as a lot of our bodies fluid sits in the muscles. It will also make me have a larger bodyfat%, as the numbers are all relative to each other.

I'm okay with that. Just keep truckin'.

Today, I'm gonna eat at a much more normal calorie intake. RDI is set to 2,000 for the day. I should probably even set it higher, considering that I have two Low Cal Days planned for the week. They need to be somewhat compensated for, to not end up starving myself.

Trouble is, of course, that I know I start making worse food choices when I have too many calories available. What a luxury problem, huh?

I think I will be having the 2nd half of our party leftovers for lunch, and a good dinner with Wife. Lunch yesterday was a chunky 600 calorie meal, and it would fit nicely with today's food plans - and it's GREAT food - refried beans and carne cisada. I am DEFINITELY up for that. :)

...

There is of course no breakfast. There is never breakfast. That's how I like it.

...

Today will be another relaxed day. I really enjoy that we have no plans through the week days of our vacation. We're not doing anything until the weekend, and that is a really nice thing for once. Of course, I will be working at the gym tomorrow night, but I don't consider that really doing anything. It's just a good time at a place where I like to spend time. Work was never easier than this.

...

In a few minutes I will probably go for my walk. I gotta get the milage in daily, to make sure my calorie burn is up, and to keep up with my audio book. It's been a few days since I have listened to it, so I need to get back on track. Unless, of course, Wife wants to walk with me.

We're going to the gym early this morning too. Today is my resting day for the gym, but Wife wants to go work out and I will of course join her. No actual workout for me, but I just might hit the elliptical or get on a stationary bike while she is doing her thing. Then again, I also might just sit down and have coffee with the owner of the gym. That's not decided yet. :)

...

I gotta say, I feel great after my week of Low Cal Days. I feel that I am much more in touch with my weight loss journey again. I am already 1½ kilo lighter than I was Tuesday last week, and I feel that I am on track.

All I gotta do is keep going, but responsibly. I won't do another week of very low calorie days, but I will stick to my "twice weekly" plan on this - doing one more day either tomorrow or Thursday.

Tomorrow is Wife's birthday, so it might not be a Low Cal Day for me. She really doesn't want to celebrate her b-day, so we might not be doing a whole lot. We'll see. I'd like to maybe take her and daughter out or something, if they'd like to. I'll just do my Low Cal Day on Thursday instead in that case. No biggie.

...

So, today is about enjoying not being at work. It's about enjoying that I can actually have to food (lol), and it's about getting my walk and possibly a little more exercise in.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Wife!
- Weight loss results!
- Morning coffee!
- An easy day!

Happy Tuesday, everone! Life is good!

That chocolate sounds great, I wonder if you can order it online somewhere. Sounds like an amazing vacation you're having! Have a great day:)

I had not considered listening to audio books while I walk. I think I am going to try that soon.

Audiobooks are great - I love getting into a good, long novel. Many of them are 30+ hours, so you have something to look forward to for quite a while. :)
