PamelaJeanette's Journal, 30 August 2013

ok, not the direction I was hoping for with the scale but I will give it a few weeks to see if I have success. Someone said I might have an eating disorder for in-taking to little but what I haven't explained was that I was in-taking about 6,000 calories most from fat a day before I started counting to me that just seemed staggering. Being 315 pounds has been a huge issue for me as a mom and a wife. I don't want the drop dead at 65 or younger like half the members of my family from being to overweight. I will add more if I need to in order to get out of starvation mode but I am not will to start at the top and work my way down I have tried that before, I don't have the self control for that. I end up eating half a cheesecake. If I do have a disorder it might be eating to much. Thank you for your concern.

thanks, most of the comments have been really positive, any feed back is better than nothing. I can't really talk to my family. My husband has never had weight issues and my parents, aunts, uncles don't want to make changes in there life. thanks for the support. that's why I am here. ;-)

Nothing burns fat like resistance training. If you have a spare 45 mins-an hour per day to do weight training (can be with regular houshold objects such as gallons/bottles of water etc.) If you can do that, then counting calories will no longer be important...counting your macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats) will be all that matters! No reason to bring your body to starvation mode in the first place! I try not to promote big business when I can avoid it, but bodybuilding.com is an EXCELLENT source of information and motivation! They even have workout plans designed around women, that are meant to burn fat, and not gain a ton of muscle(unless thats one of your goals) go to the transformation section to see how the sucessful women on their site ate and trained! I am currently following Kris Gethin's DTP program and it's working out great!
