I like skipping over numbers completely on the way down. (I know it's a mind game but losing weight pretty much is all a mind game anyway. 90% of it's mental.)

Spent the day with my mom at the hospital yesterday, loved getting some time in with her. Video chatted with her and my son and DIL and granddaughter. I hope it eased their minds a little. They've been afraid mom wasn't gonna make it (my DIL's parents both died this year within months of each other, so it's a rational fear). She's hanging in there but it's going to be a longer road this time than last I think. She's in the right place, with the right people, and we're there as an advocate daily. Just blessed with extra time to chat and be with her.

Groceries today (finally). Skipped it completely last week so options are limited here but staying on course. Didn't even have a piece of the apple fritter yesterday (that thing is as big as your head, literally). I have the week off in between jobs so trying to make sure I put it to good use. See friends, go for a few walks, have a little fun each day and clean my house/office. Get a fresh start for the new role, clean up the edges of my life where I let it get messy and tattered a bit. Time to reign it in.
