What a weigh in! I started being a member of this website on Friday, the day before my 2 Day Take Off through LA Weight Loss. I originally was told I couldn't do the take-off juice because I am a vegetarian and I couldn't get in enough nutrients over those two days. A new manager is filling in at the center I use and she had a heart to heart with me last Friday. She could sense I was frustrated with being up slightly after the New Year's celebrations and she saw I needed a "jumpstart". She was really helpful and helped me bring myself off the weight loss ledge.

The plan:
1. Try the take off for two days and fill up on green vegetables and water and egg whites or tofu. I also drank Yogi Tea brand Fasting Tea which took me a while to get used to but now I love it!
2. Workout slightly less and not push myself too hard. I had been working out for an hour every day and beating myself up. That just made me retain water and walk with a limp. I walked a lot and really only got in 30 minutes of a work out video on Saturday.

I weighed in today and lost 3.4 pounds! I didn't think it would be that much but it was a wonderful reward for having such a limited diet for two days. I'm sure a large part of it was water weight from a few poor decsions last week, but I feel great. I'm going to keep it going with more of the Yogi Tea, a lot of water, smaller meals more often, and sticking to only the recipes I find in my LA Weight Loss cookbook. Wish me luck!
153.4 lb Lost so far: 1.6 lb.    Still to go: 18.4 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
losing 7.9 lb a week

You're off to a great start! Good for you! Keep in mind, a great snack is sugar free jello. It is "free" on the LA Weight loss diet, meaning you don't have to count it :-) It's a great way to have a snack mid-afternoon. Keep up the good work!

It shows up in my menu plan book - under condiments - it says, "gelatin dessert, sugar-free unlimited" :-) I love it! I have found a brand they sell at Walmart - called "Winky" sugar free. It is in the refrigerator section, in a variety pack of 12 for about $2.35. It's much cheaper than Jello brand, tastes great, and is only 5 calories. Give it a try!
