Yep...cutting the calories and drinking all that water appears to have kick started something! I won't tell my hubby how much...he would freak out that I am losing muscle. At this point with this much weight, I just want the weight gone...I don't care right now that it may be muscle. Looking forward to hitting that middle number at 7...had a quick glimpse this morning on the scale. It flickered with the middle number at 7 and then went up...but there was hope for a second.

I bet tomorrow you'll break through! And, make that middle number 7! I'm so excited for you! If you are worried about your muscle, just make sure to get some exercise in. Doesn't have to be strenuous. I'm going to have to checkout what happens when I exercise. Do I want to push hard and make my muscles hurt or is it best to move and exercise without feeling the pain??? Something I need to educate myself about. Great going for you! Keep at it!

Thanks Becky! I know from my hubby that if you push hard and it hurts to give yourself a break for a day and allow the muscles to heal...then go again. He usually tries to work out every other day. When you tear down the muscles they heal and grow. It is what weight lifters do...that and eat protein to give your muscles something to grow on. Carbs make your metabolism work...that is why Atkins people have good success to begin with but then have trouble keeping it off. The carbs are needed to keep your metabolism working. If you don't eat carbs the metabolism slows down to make use of what you do give it for carbs.
