Donna Mashburn's Journal, 12 June 2019

I have been incognito. Just got back from three nights at North Myrtle Beach. Had a great time at the Grand Strand. My sister was camping down there, so the husband and I went down and stayed with her. We slept in the back of our Suburban--it has room for a full sized memory foam mattress. I'm pleased to say that I lost almost a pound while on vacation! Stayed on keto while I was there. We did a LOT of walking, too. Two miles to the Apache Pier and back one morning (4 miles) and three miles to the Barefoot Landing and back the next day (just short of 6 miles). Today my calves and balls of my feet are sore (walked barefoot both days). There is something about walking the beach that makes the miles go by quicker and easier. So, now I'm back home and ready to start back to using that gym I got set up out in the garage. Just as soon as I get all the "vay-kay" laundry done! ;)

@Liv001 First time I've been to the beach in 6 years and I only live 4 hours from it. Life sometimes gets in the way. The thing was, it was unplanned and spontaneous and that made it more fun. Laid back, easy going. Two days of beach time and a game of putt putt golf. It WAS good. Ahhh.
