Whippee Tied for my new low. 205.6

Just have to maintain path today.

Yesterday I got new bike tires in from them mail, and it just so happened we got told to go home because the King was visiting. Not Kingkeld, the actual King of Bahrain! I would rather have seen Keld.

Anyway, mounted the tires, took a test ride around compound, hopped curbs, hit speedbumps with reckless abandoned, etc. Gave em a good test ride. They rode nice, waaayyy less resistance, fast rolling. It is like I was ridding in mud or sand before, and now I am a road rider!

Got about 1.5 miles from home and BOOM! Blowout. Something went wrong with the back tire and it basically exploded. This is on a downhill from a bridge too. Could have been nasty.

So I am johnny on the spot and whip out my tools, there is a nice wall there to act as a "workbench" and go about swapping the tire. Probably changed the tube in about 2 minutes, each cheesy.

Then I broke the stem on the new tube. I just laughed and packed up my stuff for the walk home.

I consider myself an angry person, its my character defect (one of many). But yesterday I did not feel any anger, it was just like "oh well".

The brisk walk home was quite a workout too pushing the bike. Its light and rolls nice. I can hold it be the stem one handed so no big deal.

Onward!

Anyway, Y'all have a great day. Hopefully I can stick to my routine here today and see a nice new low tomorrow.

Test on Civil War at 9. I have to CRAM!

Thanks Heidi, this new attitude is new for me too. There is something to say about exercise and attitudes for sure!

Congrats on the new low...I can't weigh in until I get home on the 18th, so we'll have to see...not expecting much, since my RDI has been blown out of the water on a regular basis...but I am getting much more exercise, out of the office and into the construction site!! Later
