Hmm, the needle on the scale did not move this morning at all. I have been constipated for about two days so maybe that is it. I guess once I go to the bathroom it will drop.

Plateaus suck but at the very least it seems like I am not gaining any weight.

I got sick this weekend when I got caught in the rain on Saturday but I am feeling much better now. Still have work to catch up on (thanks crappy wifi) but at least i am feeling better.

Can't wait to fly back to the states. Hope every one had a good weekend.

Update: Ok so dinner and lunch went well. Stayed on point with my diet. I figure as long as I stay at less than 1700 calories a day I will continue to lose weight.

Something that I read earlier made me think. Why do we eat? For the most part people eat because of hunger but then there are other time we eat for other purposes. Some people eat when they are sad, some when they are happy, some when they are anxious, some because they are bored and some because maybe earlier in life they had little food and now they have access to a lot of food. There is a reason we tend to over eat...find your reason and treat that reason. For me its anxiety, when ever in the past I was nervous or anxious I would reach for a starchy carb...it helped me feel better. Now I realize that eating to fill a hole is not right and will ultimately hurt you. I deal with my anxiety by closing my eyes and just imagining things will get better and POOF i don't feel as anxious. When you recognize your food trigger, you can then act on it by doing something positive.

Hope everyone is having a good day...CHEERS from London!

Psyllium husk is a great all natural solution to the constipation. You can get it at any local health food store in the US any way. Not sure about London. Bummer you got sick out on your sight seeing adventure. However, glad you are feeling much better. My motto is "Eat To Live, NOT Live To Eat"! Seems like every thing is revolved around food. Ya know??

Yeah..its amazing because in the US the food advertisements scream "Bigger is better" but here in the UK its about taste not size. Consequently, when I ride the "tube" (their subway) 90% of them are thin. Maybe its genetics..maybe its the way they look at food. Anyway, thanks for the advice. When I get back, If I am still constipated, I will get it.

I eat for all of the above reasons. Or at least I did. I still struggle here and there especailly when I'm angry, but I know why and now I'm finding different ways to deal with it. I hope you feel better soon. It sucks being sick but it must be worse not being able to be in your own bed. Take care.

Part of it is that we are not eating real food anymore! When we were kids tomoatoes has 50% more nutrition, coke had sugar not HFCS. Beef was grass fed not corn fed,and junk food was expensive!!!!! I am from Toronto Canada and I am always surprized when I go to the states (which I do a lot) how expensive your real food is - I can get Californian strawberries for half the price they are in California! Your fruit and vegetables are really expensive - ON the other hand your fast food is about 25% cheaper than ours - In NYC we went to the grocery store for breakfast one day - got fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese etc - and spent $40 for breakfast!!!! The next day we did McDonald's and send under $20! Finally all of your serving sizes are enormous!!! Way bigger than they are here! We don't even have the trenta size in Starbucks ;) - When it's there - you eat it!

Yeah, getting "real" food is expensive. I mean when you go to the supermarket and you want "organic" anything its going to cost more than your run of the mill item. That goes for veggies, fruit or beef....very expensive overall. If you can cut out HFCS and you can cut out the starches, your body starts to get better, to feel less lethargic. However, you have to really just focus on your ultimate goal. Get fit. It sad that in the USA, organic real food is more expensive than the fake chemically/hormonically/engineered food.
