Yesterday was a fasting day. It's tough but worth it. Now I just have to keep up the eating well part.
158.4 lb Lost so far: 8.6 lb.    Still to go: 8.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

How do you do the fast? I would like to try it. I think I’m stuck at this weight. I even did my Beach walk yesterday and I have to go down 70 steps to get on the beach and climb back up them to get off.

What I do is take two days, usually Mondays and Thursdays, and limit my eating to only 500 to 600 calories, less if I can. I wait as long as I can to eat anything that day. I try to eat a lot of veggies and drink A LOT of water. Often a protein shake for lunch (Atkins, only 160 calories). For dinner, it may be just a piece of toast and peanut butter and some fruit. The other days of the week I eat normal but make sure it's healthy eating. Remember that your fasting starts once you stop eating at night so by the time I get up in the morning, I already have about 10 hours of fasting done. I never eat after 7:00 at night. It's hard but once you get used to it, it gets easier. Other people will have other ways of fasting you just have to find what works for you. Check it out on the internet, intermittent fasting. It's how I figured out what works best for me. Good luck Casper! BTW, the walks on the beach are a great way to exercise!

@mickfan1 that's what I'm doing too. it works great! and it's not that hard once you get used to it

fasting is a good jump start, but not a solution...because it will leave you eating more later... this is why I eat no more than 1600 cal. and no less than 1000 cal. and it has worked for 4 wks. now for me...lost 10 lbs. in the last 4 wks....it keeps me @ a safe approach to losing weight.. now you can tweak your carbs, fats, sod. and sugar intake to lose more...
