You'll figure it out, Squiggs. I didn't think the protein could bring your weight up unless it was the calories associated with them. I wish you had more in your food calendar. I'm sure you'll figure it out though. Hugs to that little miracle baby.

You're right Squiggs....too much protein can be almost as bad as not enough....gotta work to find that right balance. Good luck. Thinking of you and that bundle of joy!!!

I have been struggling like never before with weight loss. I do think that low carb is the way for me to go, but even with that, the weight seems to resist coming off. I have had to go back to induction, and now I have added a few nutritional supplements Atkins suggests in his book if the weight loss is very stubborn. Just started adding carnitine, CoEnzyme Q10, Biotin and chromium. The carnitine was very expensive, but it was what he said was supposed to be most helpful in getting the weight to move. There is also acetyl carnitine, which I didn't notice in the book until after I got home,...that it is supposed to be even better. Oh well. I did have a nice drop this morning. Don't know if it is because I am back on induction, or the supplements. Whatever the reason it was nice. I understand completely your frustration when you are sticking with the program, and nothing happens. If you have the book, read through that chapter. He has several other suggestions about what could be the cause, and what to try. Good luck! And congrats on the new baby!

Hi there! Been away awhile but wanted to reconnect with some old buddies. I got down to 297 (18 lbs lost) and then got real busy and quit paying attention and zoomed up 209! For me exercise seems to make a big difference. I started doing the couch to 5K. You start out running 30 second intervals and a bit more each week. Was doing fine with that until, like I said, I got busy and quit doing it. Decided I better start making entries and getting support. Hope all has been well for you. See you around.
