Walked 3.1 miles this morning; UGH Index a 10. Pool was beckoning me when I got back!!

DH made me breakfast, on plan, but a few extra things in my omelette, so I'll do my best to log it correctly.

We're waiting to see if our vacation is "on" for the dates we'd like or if it will have to be postponed. Should know today or tomorrow how everything will shake out.

We have an insurance inspection coming up this afternoon. It's the same guy who did our initial home inspection when we bought the place, so he's very easy to work with. With the right items, it will allow us to save many $$$$ on insurance, so it's definitely worth having the inspection done. It rained about an hour ago and so we weren't sure if he'd still be coming, as part of the inspection requires him to be on the roof. But, it has cleared up and hopefully any additional rain will hold off for a few hours. He'll still have to be careful, as I'm sure the roof isn't completely dry at this point.

I'll bet the pool was super refreshing after walking over 3 miles in that kind of humidity. Good for you for getting out there anyway! Keeping my fingers crossed that you can take your vacation as planned and good luck with the inspection.

Thanks Carol. I'd LOVE to save the money on the premiums. The state keeps changing the regulations and we got caught up in the new version because we're changing companies. I'm ambivalent on taking vacation as planned or taking it next month...really makes no nevermind to me, but taking it as planned would allow DH to attend a HS reunion, so he obviously wants to go as planned.

Insurance baffles me. It's one of those things we have to have but - thank goodness - do not use TOO often. Are you a swimmer or a floater? As in float on a raft in the pool. I WISH I was a swimmer but I am either a floater or a sit-by-the-pool-and-dip-my feet in pool goer! Whichever is the case for us we need the water to beat the heat!

Oh no...a TEN? I guess you got all my yucky weather didn't you. I can't say as this last weekend, or today for that matter would barely register on the UGH meter, on the Great Weather Meter, now that's a different thing isn't it! So glad you have a pool & are getting good use of it too. I am truly rooting for your vacation to go through as planned, saving $ on premiums is great too...good luck!!

W4, I'm definitely a swimmer! Did just a bit of competitive swimming when I was quite young....lifeguard in HS and college. Not that I don't enjoy a nice relaxing float, however.....LOL!

GG, the Midwest has certainly been in the broiler lately. Sunny weather is fine for summer, but I think it got to be a bit ridiculous, right? That boat of yours is really getting a workout this summer!

Out in the UGH again - not sure how you do it! DH has been getting up at 4 AM to work on his project and is through by 11 AM. Am thankful that today is the last day of "your weather" here. You have my permission to remind me of all my griping next January.

I read your posts and they remind me why I love California. It is supposed to be 105 here by Wednesday - but we have no humidity.

Our UGH factor has been at 15 for the last 2 weeks. It has gone back down to about A 10 now, and that feels good after the heat wave we just had. Hope your inspection went well, and you had a wonderful evening!
