HEY! HEY! I think (i hope) I found a culprit on my stall... BALSALMIC vinegar!!!! Silly me ...I thought vinegar was vinegar! Changed it yesterday..and I showed a loss! I know I know... no weigh in but twice a week...i just couldn't help myself. I'm just gonna log it twice a week :)

Not sure how vinegar could stall your weight loss. It has no calories really and in fact has been known to aid in weight loss. Your body most likely was adjusting and it loses when it is ready. But great job on the loss.

Apple cider vinegar helps boost metabolism too. Some people drink 1-2 TBS 1/2 hour before each meal. I tried it but just could not get past the taste! My naturopath said to add it to a big glass of water but even that makes me gag, so no vinegar for me LOL!

I'm still doing the vinegar...just not balsalmic. :)

Hiya, Balsamic vinegar isn't vinegar but actually grape juice reduced to a syrup. The real stuff (not Modena) is aged in wood casks for up to 12 years. It's the fruit (wine) association why, I am advised, balsamic is not allowed (at least not on induction).

ditto here on balsamic I too switched after becoming aware of sugar...started using cider,olive oil & a bit of fresh garlic with a pkt of splenda...

I use red wine vinegar and olive oil. Keep them in shakers and just add to my salad. With 1 tbsp of sunflower kernels, some salt, and a little pepper....MMMM MMMM Good!

You really weren't stalled, you were still losing. That's a good thing. You lost 2 pounds between the 11th of April and the 14th of April. I know that after losing a pound and a pound and a half a day, that may seem like a stall, but you are still doing awesome!!

Balsalmic vinegar can have from 2-5 grams of carbs a tablespoon, so if you have 2 tbsp on your salad, thats 4-10 grams of carbs that you weren't counting, and if you eat 2 salads a day, WHOA, that really adds up and it could definately have an impact on your weight loss. Good detective work!

Yep! I totally wasn't counting them AND I know to ask for reg. vinegar if out. I would have never known. Thanks for all the good comments!
