Happy Friday - this week it seemed like Friday would never get here!

I was very happy with my Challenge weigh in - and very lucky! I lost a pound even after overeating last weekend (not to mention yesterday's Kenalog (steroids) shot).

I realize I can't count on luck next week! Got to keep pushing myself to go just a little further. Anybody with me?




Diet Calendar Entry for 29 June 2012:

Nice job; you're doing great! Just keep taking one day at a time. Think positive. If you look at your track record, you didn't get there by luck, and it won't be luck that gets you to your goal. You had to have been driven with purpose to have achieved what you have achieved. My guess is that you like a challenge, because you're not in the habit of letting a challenge beat you. So, make an appointment to be patting yourself on the back for your 'next' weigh-in!

Karen - I sure hope you are right. I keep telling myself that a pound a week equals 52 pounds in a year - and I don't even need to lose 52 pounds! Enjoy your weekend.

That's right! If I lost only 2 ounces a day, I would lose 45 pounds in a year, and reach goal. We always think in terms of pounds and weeks. A pound is a heck of a lot of fat! Of course, most of our scales don't measure down to the ounce, and if it did, it would drive us nuts with the fluctuations, but over the long haul it really is just a matter of an ounce or two a day that can turn your whole life around. Have a great weekend!
