Kevinlyfellow's Journal, 01 April 2018

Three months down! My weight has taken a dive in the past few weeks which I attribute to increasing the iodine in my diet (I no longer eat dairy and have been cutting back on salt). Currently I'm losing weight at a rate 1.6 lbs/week. If I continue this rate, I will reach my goal on June 29th.

When I first started this journey, I wanted to go easier than last time. I decided to restrict my calories to around 1800 instead of 1200-1500 like I was doing before. I decided that the end of the year would have been an appropriate goal date. I'm far ahead and I can now reach my goal weight by the end of the year if I lose 0.6 lbs/week or more.

My stomach and chest are noticeably smaller. In fact, this seems different from last time I lost weight. My diet included yoghurt and cheese everyday. I had read that yoghurt was associated with less belly fat but I found that it just didn't seem to apply to me. I'm hopeful that the WFPB diet is actually causing me to have less belly fat.

I was hoping to weigh in somewhere in the 187's by the end of the month and today's scale weight was 185.0! I've also reduced my tahini intake, so I'm consuming less fat which means I have been able to eat just a little more food. The only time I go hungry is when I go out to eat and have something oily or I'm just too lazy to make food :-p.

Maxie4: yep, it will get harder but that's OK. If we are going to sustain the weight loss we will have to eat fewer calories than what we were before we started, so it's better we get used eating less. 🏅
