When you lose weight, I don’t think you actually lose fat cells. They lose much of the energy storage, making them smaller in size if I’m not mistaken. But the number of fat cells remain constant after you switch from brown fat, I think.

Just saw this post. This is proof that muscle doesn't "weigh more than fat", it simply proves that muscle is much denser than fat, hence smaller. I'm slowly working my way to the muscle side.
