I am doing OK, I am easing back into low carb - I didn't do strict induction. I guess you can say I started at OWL. But I am not eating bacon. I feel less bloated after over a week of this, and I know it gets measurements down faster than weight loss. My aunt said it's unhealthy, I told her severe diabetics (I am not diabetic) are basically doing Atkins OWL but doctors fail to state that - even on TV because there's a stigma with Atkins that is is a fad or phase diet and not healthy. Sure one can overdo it with bacon cheeseburgers, but for me that isn't a healthy way to eat all the time. I am doing under 100 gms of carbs a day and my appetite has decreased and the snacking too much between meals has stopped. The arthritis I have had prevented me from exercising for nearly two weeks now, so I have to find another way to lose and low carb works especially if one can't get lots of exercise in.

Nothing wrong with starting at OWL. I wonder if your Aunt would still think it was unhealthy if you put all the vegetables you eat in a day on a platter and showed them to her. The average American doesn't eat that many veggies in a week!

Right Buffy, I am gaining a bit now as I haven't been walking for two weeks. Good news today! My cholesterol is good and triglycerides were 87, when in the past they were over 500. Omega 3 and Niacin (flush free) did it, consult your doctor if necessary regarding a high dose of Omega 3. Cholesterol drugs aren't necessary - and the drug companies know it but lots of scamming in the medical community where they're taught to give a pill instead of a vitamin or supplement that is much more effective. I DO eat a lot of veggies Buffy. Thanks for checking in.
