I am new here and trying to learn the app. How many of you notice that once you add your food and activity and it shows how many calories you should have burned; loose that much weigh. For example. If I ate 14000 calories in a week and I burned 17600. 17,600- 14,000 equals 3600. Which should equal 1 pound of weight. Who does the hold true for here. I'm not sure for me because I on my first week.

3500 calories is a pound so, if you have a 3500 cal def you will lose a pound

8 patty. I see you've lost over 50 lbs. Even after losing that much does this still hold true for you. If you see a 3600 calorie deficit on your calendar here do you still lose a pound. I am wondering because with my weight age and activity level. It shows I will lose on a 2200 calorie diet. That seems like a lot of calories.

The activity calorie counts really have to be tweaked to work. I have a heart rate monitor from my gym, and my resting calorie burn is lower than what fatsecret says. I found that putting sleeping for 16 and resting for 8 matches what the heart rate calculator says I am burning. 2200 calories is high - what I did was worked backwards from the recommended number to a number that showed results. Started at 1300 but I lose when I am at about 1100

I post my walks but don't think the calories burned are all that accurate. It just took some time to find what works for me. I try to stop eating by 2pm and keep my calories to 1000 or less. I walk 4 miles most days. I don't worry about math and macros like so many do. I just know if I eat too much I won't lose weight. Try to get enough protein, keep carbs not too much above 100 and limit saturated fat.
