It has been a long time since I recorded a journal entry, so forgive me if I ramble. First let me say this has been an interesting journey and as I learn more and more about my body I am amazed I didn't see the patterns before. I started exercising and dieting in earnest on October 15, 2017. Cutting calories and exercising I was able to lose 30lbs before I plateau on Nov 30th. Now let me say during that time I had a stress test that revealed a clogged artery. I had a cardiac Cather requiring 7 days bed rest. Before the bed rest was over it was discovered I had salviatory stones (you heard of kidney stones, and gall stones). My spit was salty and I thought it was part of being in ketosis lol. Anyway there was no recoup time but I had 20 stitches across my neck. My husband was worried and didn't want me to go the gym. So I continued to watch what I ate and record every morsel and Dec 18th I clocked in at 201. I was ecstatic I just knew I was going to onederland. Then the Christmas holidays came... I was as maniac as possible and the holiday was like something out of a fairy tale! Diet and gym didn't enter my thoughts. On Jan 8th I went back to the gym and clocked in at 209. I was embarrassed to log that weight in my weight history. I was embarrassed to write in my journal. I worked the program and am proud to say today I clocked in at 201. Ok what did I learn. First let me throw in my psychiatrist said "Has the thought occurred to me that when I push myself too hard the universe will find ways to make me slow down." No, but I will take it under advisement. The next time I plateau I will increase exercise, instead of 1 routine per day do two. I ordered the ketone strips so I don't have to guess at it. Even if I can't go to the gym weight gain or lose is all about what I put in my mouth. Record everything. And if I slip and gain come here for support and guidance after all this is my fat secret.
