-E-M-'s Journal, 19 January 2018

I basically ate almost an entire spaghetti squash by myself last night. No butter was added, but I did put some other sauce on it. It was delicious. I've felt full ever since. I even woke up not feeling hungry.

I'm sure that keeping my caloric intake under that 1500 level is what's best for me. I'm not even remotely starving, but I'm definitely more aware of what I'm eating. I think that's kind of my point. To be aware of what goes in my body.

What do other people do when they're calorie counting?

I calorie count as well but I've been trying to at least lower my carb intake. I just try to eat healthier foods. I'm far from perfect believe me!! I have cheated. But I try and stay below 1400 calories a day. I drink a ton of water. You have to do what's best for you and it may take some experimenting. I started my diet weighing 246lbs being 5ft 3 1/2 in tall. I'm now at 178. I feel so much better. I work out as often as I can. Most of all I try to stay positive and if i mess up, I just think it's a new day.

Great Drop! You should know me by now my RDI is 2700..carbs play an important part in giving me energy and satisfying my body to releasing that grandfathered fat""you the hard stuff"" I work out about 3 or 4 days a week and my engine is burning off the calories even on my rest days..I can feel it! I started at 247lbs and I'm at 221..with this fast engine I've created I have to be careful of losing weight to fast, cause I'll lost lean muscle also and that's not good for me because I'm trying to build muscle & lose fat. I use this Tanita machine that tells it all. I hope this info was helpful.

My WOE is just like Draglist's. The LCHF helps control my epilepsy, depression, and anxiety. I keep my calories at 1600 and it's working great for me. Best of luck to you!

I rarely reach 1000 calories. I do intermittent fasting and usually stop eating by 2pm. I walk ALOT usually 4.5-5 miles a day but I've done 10 miles 3 times in the past couple weeks.

I calorie count, low carb, and it turns out high fat. I try to keep net carbs under 20. I went to the keto calculator site. So I have been successful, so far, with working the numbers.

When I calculated my numbers for Common Sense Keto, for my height/weight/age/level of activity/etc, I got a daily target of: 138 fat, 40 - 50 protein. under 20 (total) carbs, and those all have to add up to at least 1520 calories. Many fellow members in that group did not start seeing the results they wanted until they UPPED their fats and calories to their calculated TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). Opposite of what we've all heard for forever, right??? But. It is healing metabolism and letting the body adjust weight and heal other issues, once the body is no longer in starvation mode and getting all the fats it desperately needs!

Ok carrots are good, and cucumber 🥒 watermelon 🍉...if we want a cooking we have a cookie but portion control and patience for fat loss is key

Drag List is right, if one day u eat 1900 u can do two days of 1300 1300 and u will get back on track 😋

Rosio, I don't generally get up to 1900. I'm a bit to on my count to let that happen. But I do see your point. If you go over one day you can adjust subsequent days to compensate for the overage. Thanks!
