Montana Sunshine's Journal, 14 May 2012

I was feeling pretty good about myself until I got on the scale yesterday and my whole world started to spiral. I feel like I haven't achieved any goals of mine and I had lost 20 pounds, just go gain it plus 10 more pounds. I don't have a very good support system and I am wishing that some people in my life were more supportive of me. I used to workout with a friend, that really helped, but our schedules don't match up anymore. What should I do? I am feeling no motivation what so ever.

Losing weight is a solitary journey. No one can do it but you. Support is great but you don't need it to lose. You have to find your own motivation. It has to come from within and you have to do it when your in the right place mentally. I was in a store and some kid said "look at that fat lady mom". She was really embarrassed but I realized I had become the fat lady and I sat in my car and cried. It made me get out and do something about myself. Get a cork board and make an inspiration board for yourself with pictures, quotes, recipes, etc. Join a gym so you can meet people who work out and have a good attitude. Make a home gym with some light hand weights, a mat and some dvd's. You can even them from the library for free to try out. Read some fitness magazines, clean out your cupboards, get some diet books from the library and try something new. Whatever it takes to get you going. Once you get in to healthy eating and exercise, you will feel a whole lot better. Fake it till you make it!

Thanks for the inspiration. I do have a gym membership, but it is hard to go by myself. Every goal I have made, I never make. You have lots of great ideas and thank you for your support!
