What would you say has been the sweetest compliment you've received while out-and-about in your daily routine - something that completely surprised you?

I’d have to say when I took my daughter to a play group. An acquaintance said, I looked even smaller than when she’d seen me less than a month before. I was. She asked what I’d been doing. She decided to come to a Noexcusemom workout with me. She told me I had inspired her to get back to her journey. I never thought of myself as an inspiration before this journey, but I’ve been told I am a few times now. I think inspiring someone to become a healthier version of themselves has to be the biggest compliment I can receive.

Being an overweight child growing up, and an obese adult outside my years in the Army, most friends of the family would say, "Oh, you look just like your mom." It wasn't until last month, that my cousin told me, "I see so much of your dad in you." At that comment, I cried... I have tried to nodel much of my life after my dad (who's still alive) but to (finally) hear that kind of affirmation... overwhelmed me.

That’s awesome. I think I also like hearing how impressed people are with how quickly I’m doing it but still in a healthy way. It felt like it was going to take forever at the beginning but it hasbe been that bad. When my husband returns I will hopefully have lost 60 pounds in the 6 months he was deployed. That’s pretty impressive. I read about your weight loss too you are doing amazing. I’m so close to being overweight instead of obese on the bmi I can’t believe it. I don’t know if I’ll go for normal but I think I will and I’d I get there I will have lost 100 pounds.
