My net carbs were over 20 today, but I really needed to switch things up with my veggies... I wasn’t wanting broccoli, squash or asparagus this evening. But why are artichokes $4 a piece 😩I made the fam rice too...

Looks delish! I would add mustard as well.

$4? I always try to buy organic vegies but that sounds expensive.

@mal we only buy organic. But that’s the going rate here for them at vons some times you can get them on sale for $3.50 ☹️ and at farmers market they are $6-10 😱
You add mustard to the butter? Or the sausage? Just curious because I love mustard but never thought of adding it to the butter/artichoke

Mustard on side next to the sausages.
But seriously, farmers market charging £6-10 is a lot but that`s the price you pay to stay healthy.

Just to make sure it`s not GMO or have no other added crap I would pay $4 too.

@mal right. Eating home cooked organic food from scratch is worth the price. Especially since health care in America is a joke.

I`ve heard about the health care, kind of sad!

Yeah it’s terrible, we make too much money to get a lowered rate for health care, but we can’t afford the $1400 a month for our family health insurance either... 🤷♀️ it just doesn’t make sense. so instead I invest in natural remedies, gardening and healthier choices.
