Despite pigging out at dinnertime (or what felt like it, at least), I only went over my RDI by 79 calories today. And luckily, I know what caused it so I can try to prevent it from happening in the future.
I had only eaten about half of my daily calories (so roughly 800) by the time I went to spin class at 7pm (and burned off around 800 calories). When I got home, there were a few activities I had to do first, so dinner didn't happen until about 10pm. So of course, while ravenously hungry, I made my dinner and threw in everything that sounded good in the fridge (mixed baby greens with broccoli and avocado and blue cheese, and a burrito with rice, refried beans, avocado, and a little taco cheese).
Somehow, even with making food while ravenous and throwing in delicious stuff like avocado and blue cheese, I still managed to come pretty close to my RDI. So despite going over, I'll count this as a success!!
