Running into some problems!

Wow, quite some time that I have not been here. I am still living low carb, no change though for some reason I avoid the scale. If I am losing weight it is on a very slow pace since I also have to watch my cal intake. That's only possible if I log my food. Well, ketosis is still around, I can taste it at time *lol*

Here is my problem:
All my life, besides a few months every now and then I have been a meat eater. You may keep anything but give me the meat.

Lately I encountered a resistance to that. Every time I see a piece of meat my thought goes "dead animal" and it spoils the appetite. I don't feel that way with processed meat but obviously I try to avoid that most of the time.

My grocery shopping went completely different this weekend. Knowing how I feel I went for some tofu to have a source of protein. I will fry it and eat saag or kale with it. Still, I am not very versed in living vegetarian AND low carb and am afraid to kick up my carbs too much.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Sorry...can't even imagine Keto without meat. I do sometimes try to talk myself into less meat. I have heard of people going Keto and Vegetarian. Maybe reddit sub group has a thread devoted to this ...sorry. When I read your post I was sorry as it seems like such a hard thing to do. Hats off. My best to you.

Thanks Judy, I try to hang in there and hope that it will pass. I have looked around, there are some vegetarian pages out there, but mostly it is vegan. That is too extreme!

I get burnt out of all the meat from time to time. When that happens, I choose shrimp or fish, and eggs...lots of eggs.

Hi Jozette - I'm a vegetarian. I don't do low carb now but when I tried it I ate avocados, coconut oil, butter, full cream milk, yogurt and cream as my fats and dairy, and nuts, cheese, eggs and tofu as my protein. I also used protein powder shakes if I was a bit short of protein for the day. Hope that helps.

Thanks again everyone - keep your suggestions in mind for the next time it might hit. For now I guess I am over it... the pork ribs tasted delicious today *lol*

I love meat too, but too much at a time, can do the same thing to me. Good luck. Nice tips from above...
