Let's be honest, in the last few rounds my focus has been off. Either I do a great workout or I have a great straight by the book nutrition day. Both struggle to exist with the other. Then there are those visually annoying photos of myself that (depending on the angle) that are just not inspiring. What I see is still the person I wanted to get away from! I have learned though to compare it to my starting point picture instead of getting crazy and slip into the "I don't care moments" and eat everything in sight.
Funny how the person I see in the mirror differs (in my opinion) of the person in the photograph. Why is that??? Is it due to we are constantly examining ourselves for improvements to prove that our efforts are working? Why do we post the "before" photo and the fantastic "after" photo, but not the photos of the journey. The "on the journey"photos show the real person willing to change and the determination (no matter how much it wanes at times) to continue the battle of transition.
