Cheating, Cheat Day ,Binging, Over Eating, Whatever you want to call it..Is there such a thing ???In my class on different WOE in college, a group was assigned this project..And this is what they came up, collectively.Most of it was not lengthy, just simply stated, and the final conclusion was technical speaking. "There is no such thing as a Cheat day "!! It is actually called a "Re feed Day " When you increase more carbs into your body you are actually in creasing a "Leptin" which is a hormone, which is a fat cell that helps reduce or regulate hunger and rev's up your metabolism.So if you allow yourself this periodically, you are in fact increasing your metabolism and overall regulate your hunger pains. Now when people say to me, are you off your WOE, I tell them no "I'm regulating my metabolism " by a "RE FEED " enough said. And My journey goes on.And I'm Do n ok !!!

Thanks for the info. I usually give myself 1 day a week to splurge a little, typically Saturday. Mon-Friday I eat about 1200-1300 calories, about 1500 on Sundays and on the splurge day it may go up to 1800-2000. It really helps me maintain control because I'm not denying myself for long periods of time but still losing an average of 2 pounds a week. Nice to know it may actually be boosting my metabolism.
