I have a lot of friends that are doing Paleo right now with great success. Thinking of making the switch to it. It seems similar to atkins. I worry that because I am already doing low carb that the switch wont do much for me. This focus and commitment challenge has me rethinking what I want to do.....

True, but it might offer you more variety and help you more long term. If your not losing like you want, find a good caloric intake and stick to it consistently. Even on Atkins or Paleo if you eat more than you burn off, you may not lose properly. So many things effect our metabolism, which is what makes us lose weight. Be active! Activity burns off calories and builds muscle. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest, the easier losing and maintaining weight becomes. Stay hydrated!

Thanks for the tips. I think it may help long term to make the switch but you are totally right. I need to bump up my activity level as well. I think I'm gonna buy the Paleo book and see what its all about.

What I like about the paleo/primal type diet is that I'm always full due to majority of my diet being protein based. I got back into the primal low-carb routine this week and quickly shed some pounds and look noticeably leaner :)
