Well, I guess yesterday was my 'spike' day. I was SO hungry when I went to go look at apartments, and I wasn't going to be able to eat for another 2 hours, so I ran across the street and got a 10" pizza. I ate half. Talk about serious calorie intake... It showed in my weigh in this morning. I was up .6 pounds. Oh well, I deserved it..

I guess that just means I'll have to go for a nice long run today anyway! (Which I was planning on).

The apartment hunt went okay yesterday.. We saw two places, the first just needed a good scrubbing. The boys that live there now aren't exactly the neatest of human beings.. The second was an old school row house, which had layers and layers of paint on it. The landlord is updating the kitchen and will put new carpeting upstairs, but my roommate and I are weary about it since a few of the floor boards are coming loose..

We liked the first place better. It was cheaper, comes with two parking spots for us, and it comes in WAY under budget -- with a dishwasher! I'm hopefully going to get a chance to call the landlady today. She was this adorable older woman, and we're going to see if we can negotiate in her puting in a new carpet for us. The one in there now is really old, stained, and this hideous dark green color. Plus, this place has a little porch/patio we can set up a grill, and some grass space, perfect for BBQing! Fingers crossed! Hopefully she'll work with us.

Sounds like you got your mind made up! The first apt. sounds way better. Good luck! If she doesn't replace the carpets, maybe she'll get them shampooed..? Btw- pizza sounds soooo good!! haha

Yay - fingers crossed that you get that apartment and that she puts in new carpet!! It sounds perfect! So glad you enjoyed the pizza and didn't regret it - regrets always make things taste worse.. You'll burn it off on your run for sure! :)

First half of the run was great! I was feeling good, wasn't tired at all... second half... two words. runners trots. Miserable..
