I'm going to try to walk every day now that it is not so hot! After yesterday with the walking group I took my pup for a walk in the neighborhood. It's really hilly. Walked about 45 minutes, probably less than 2 miles because I am pretty slow and had to stop to catch my breath on the inclines. It's a much better workout than the treadmill because my treadmill is flat with no option to have an incline. Walking outside is better anyway, meeting neighbors and Bobby meeting other dogs.

Fritzy - sounds great. I walk and it is hilly too. So before the big hills I count the number of steps I can do before I pause. Next time I try to add five steps. There's one big steep hill I started at 50 steps and I am up to nearly 95 now. Hopefully I will do the whole 146 steps in one breath :)

@Perks54 - I count too! I've been trying to count to 100 before I even look up. I'm trying to get to the point where I can walk all the way down this one road that has a pretty big incline coming back. I can make it down okay. Right now I go just so far and turn around. Each day I hope to make it further by one drive way before turning around. Hopefully coming back will get a little easier each day. It will take 2 to 3 weeks before I can make it all the way down and back. My goal is to make it without stopping, however far I make it. Today I had to stop 3 times, hopefully just 1 or 2 stops tomorrow.

I started with counting, because I'm as OCD as the next person, but now I use songs and try to get through certain songs in my soundtrack I listen to on the beat! LOL🙋🏻
