Thanks for your concern about carbs @kjmiles24 though I am perfectly fine with both items on this particular meal. I am not a carbs counter. My concern in nutrition lies within the micronutrients that I consume; vitamins and minerals. These nutrients play a vital role in our health and well-being. Be well and stay healthy!😊

Yasmin, my plan is primarily plant based and some eggs. It used to be I'd have fish or meat once a week or so, sometimes twice. Now meat is maybe once a month, if that often not at home. Complementary proteins over a day are a normal part of what I eat.

FYI my lunch today: dried mung beans cooked, brown basmati rice with an Indian Tarka for seasoning. on the side a small slice of homemade whole grain and seed bread with marinated diced tomatoes also some fresh strawberries.
