I suppose I am really committed to going to the gym. Today I got up at 8:30am on a Saturday (unheard of for me) to go to the gym. My gym is really crowded on Saturday mornings, and I tried to get there in time to get an elliptical trainer with armpoles (this is important to me) I thought I found the last available machine, and then I got there and upon closer inspection found a gym bag and a cell phone on it. Miffed, I started working out on the stair machine next to it, pissed off that I didn't get armpoles. That machine sat vacant for 15 minutes, and then the DILLWEED that parked his stuff there showed up, used it for ten minutes and then left his phone there AGAIN. I was PISSED. What an ASS. I just had to spill about that.

I went to Applebee's with my mom and had a really good lunch. I had the Garlic Sirloin steak off of their 550 calorie menu and it was good. It was so nice not to be eating a salad when going out. My choices are so limited when dining out because of diabetes. I can't have pasta, I can't have burgers or sandwiches, I can't have potatoes, forget Mexican, forget Asian. It's hard to think of what restaurants I can go to and what I can eat. Plus you factor losing weight into the mix, so not only am I watching carbs, but I'm watching calories and fat, too. Sometimes it can be pretty depressing thinking that I'm going to basically be on the Atkins diet for the rest of my life. I'm eating about 80-90 carbs a day, which is not as severe as Atkins, but still, it can get hard.
