minitata's Journal, 29 May 2017

I weighed less yesterday, but knew that it was the result of a very upset stomach. I'm happy with this as I ate yesterday.

Fasting today.

Minitata feel better soon. And you were pointing me in the right direction the other day. I was dehydrated, so my blood pressure was wonky. Drank broth with potassium in it, some more water, felt 1,000x better.

I'm feeling much better today. I should be fasting but I'm at the pork rinds again.

Can I ask how you fast? I don't get on fasting all day so I fast 16-8 and this works for me (coupled with low sugar and lower carb eating). I also add a little apple cider vinegar to my water with fresh lemon 3 times a day and now over the last 2 weeks I've lost weight steadily without ever being hungry.

@Debblish I fast when I feel like it. I'm a type 2 diabetic who has come off tablets and after messing up my metabolism for many years with different diets, I just find it easier this way. I usually 'try' to do 18:6 when I'm not fasting - I do anything from 24 hours to - my most to date - 5 days. I'd like to go further and try a longer fast, but so far I haven't been able to. Most of my weight is around mt middle so I'm trying to move that on with fasting.

Debblish in my experience fasting also plays really heavily off how many times you've done short fasts, keeping electrolytes up, and how much 'extra' above BMR you have to do. I cannot fast and get a lot done. If I'm fasting or than 24hrs, I can only do the minimum without exercise.
