I'm feeling very energetic , I'm thinking about working outside with my wife in her garden.I not very good at it and I'm pretty sure she'll tell maybe I should take a extended break, but it's worth a try.
I would like to know why salt is in so many foods,it's hard to overlook it (I ask my wife and she said it's a preservative and I said can't they preserve it with something else she said they only think of cost), I take a diurectic and drink a good amount of liquids seems to offset itself but sometimes I don't think so.

lol - if you just say 'yes dear' and do what your wife says, you should be okay - at least for a little while. :) I know what you mean about the salt. If you look really hard you can find stuff with no salt added that are pretty good. Also, if you make stuff for yourself, you can control it! Have fun today! If your wife suggests a long break, try walking around the block!

I agree with Amy, (about the salt, because about your wife I would not risk an opinion lol!) the best way to go is cooking as many things as possible yourself. you really get in control of salt, sugar, and fat when you cook. enjoy gardenning, I'm envious! here it's so cold gardenning season is very short.

Well I finished picking the avocados( we have baskets full some are ready and some need some time to ripend) and she was tending to a bunch of pickly stems ,I asked her why spend so much time with those things? I was told they are rose bushes and they have to be cut back (I thought she meant like the economy was) no it's because they grow again at the end of the month. I did notice that the holes she dug were tempting to chip practice golf balls into....but I put it out of my mind. I do ship avocados to my son in Georgia I could probally handle shipping to ventura county but I would have to see where you are to try and ship to you if you're REALLY interested, message me ....time for second half of Laker game

I wish I could grow avacados. I love them. My son loves them and I will use them on my burgers, salads, tacos, anyhting. Family that is over for dinner asks what it is, I tell them to try it and I get them hooked. LOL. Gosh they are good little buggers. :-)

Usually their ripe when they feel a litle soft, if their rock hard if you put them in brown paper bag and a drawer they be ripe in abut 5-6 days. The recipes are endless!

Salt is a killer.. I heard that we should not consume more than 1500mg a day... and then 1 portion of chips (as a bad example) has about half a daily recomended quantity!! I agree on the previous posts that the best way to cut on salt is to look specifically on the nutritional facts label the sodium quantity and also to prepare the food yourself, this way you know exactly what you eat! Good idea the gardening with the wife... that can make some of your muscles sore if you really work hard! Which is not a bad thing! Have a good one!
