Totally blew calorie counting over the holiday weekend and yesterday. However, I did spend two days pressure washing my house to prepare to paint and took the dogs to the park on the third day. So exercise wise I have done pretty good. Not a single day of skipping exercise. Even last night after going out to a new mexican restaurant and eating poorly because I had a gift certificate I came home and did an hour of XBox Kinect exercises. Now if I can just get back on track counting calories, maybe I will see some progress.

Overall, even though the scale isn't going the right direction, I feel good. I wouldn't say I have more energy or that I have less aches and pains, but I feel like I can do more and have more endurance.

Still trying to figure out what sort of exercise routine will be most enjoyable. I think right now I'm going to aim for 3 times a week to do the Kinect and 4 times a week on the elliptical. While the Kinect definitely gets me sweaty and moving, I feel like the sustained 30 minutes of elevated heart rate on the elliptical will be better for my heart and weight loss. Hey, maybe soon I can do both every day and get in at least an hour a day!
