diehard3's Journal, 10 March 2017

You know, there is always going to be a better day. We had some tornadoes in the area but they left us alone and just preempted the tv all night. I managed to stay on plan without a cheat and am feeling good about it. They had cake at bowling last night and I didn't have even one bite! Now this is unusual for me because I love cake. I am keeping my carbs below 20 and my calories under 1200. Here we are zeroing in on the weekend and the tough stuff begins. We are taking our great grandson to a bowling tournament on Sunday which will be an all day thing. I have a plan in place for eating healthy. I hope my good intentions don't go by the wayside. Live good and eat well!

Well done - stay strong! Imagine that any tempting off-plan foods you encounter are just plastic models of the stuff and they are far less desirable.

It isn't always easy to stay strong. Off plan foods are everywhere. I am going to give it my very best effort. Brats and sauerkraut for dinner tonight! No eating out.

Maybe plan in a treat? And correct the next day? :) Always be compassionate with yourself. Less than 20 grams of carbs? Including those coming from vegetables? Or do you mean 20% carbs? I'm also at 1200 calories and my nutritionist recommends 20%, which puts me at 60 grams of carbs. Hoping that's going to be low enough.
