Haven't done anything to improve my diet. Apart from last week, I had started swimming twice a week and will endeavour to get back to swimming before work once I go back after the holiday. I will aim to start work at 8:30 and I finish at 16:45. This not only means I get a regular swim in, but also that I am more likely to start participating in classes again because I can go to the leisure centre straight from work. I am the only barrier but do have faith in myself and want the feeling of being fit again. If I can adjust my diet then I will be on the right track

Thanks for that. I'm finding it harder to lose weight now I'm older which doesn't help but I'll get there

Thanks for responding. I enjoy talking about diet and exercise but don't personally know anyone else who does so your comments are very welcome. What part of the UK are you from ?

Hi Merekat, I used to find that once I begin any sort of regular purposeful exercise it tends to help me avoid bad food choices too - I think it is partly because I don't want to then undo my exercise efforts, but perhaps also because of better energy levels. Hopefully you'll find that benefits you too?
