HAH! Sorry Phooka, Couldn't add pic in the "comments back", so I added it to the "Journal Entry". We use this waffle for tacos, breakfast sandwiches, and can anyone say "Jalapeno Waffles and Gravy" for breakfast! Oh Yeah! We don't use an immersion blender, just chuck it all in the food processor! The recipe says 3g net carbs, but I plugged it in to FS and came up with 5.92g total carbs, 2.6g fiber. I'm still gonna eat it! Every week!

Snagged this, too. Thanks for sharing your recipes. You made a taco out of it. How clever.

Yea, kinda miss fry bread, but we can make do and be better! The results make up for ANYTHING else in this world!

I'll bet you could probably use this as pancake batter too?

yea, Angie makes tortillas with it also! Smear it around in some butter, fry it up! I just love it as my breakfast sandwich base! Who needs McD's, Hardee's, Braum's, etc.! She also puts it in the "smaller, thinner" waffle maker and makes a sort of "flatbread". Between these and her Cheddar Biscuits, breakfast is in the bag!

I wondered the same thing Mom2Boxers, I just waited until I got the unflavored to try this one! (mainly because we needed unflavored to make "Keeto's"! http://shecallsmehobbit.com/2015/11/hobbits-keetos-keto-cheetos-knockoffs-iron-giant-dough/

Why keto? Ketosis is bad for you. Ketosis: a condition characterized by raised levels of ketone bodies in the body, associated with abnormal fat metabolism and diabetes mellitus. You're better off getting enough carbs so that you're burning fat, not losing muscle and body fluids

Thx warren! Just trying to remember to take photos half the time! I made Angie dinner yesterday after work, Garlic-butter Blue Cheese Steak, loaded baked "faux-tatos" and fresh green beans with a onion-beef broth! DAMMIT! Forgot to take ANY pics! Just enjoyed that dinner! Complete with a keto-vanilla Wendys Frosty clone that is 5.41 carbs!

I just checked your profile, have you considered seeing a dietitian? They have more knowledge than most GP's on nutrition

Thx topher2112! After my wife got the psyllium, we just make tons of yumminess!

The site quotes the "Frosty" at 8.4g carbs, but plugging into FS, 5.41g carbs! Oh YEAH! http://lowcarbyum.com/creamy-low-carb-chocolate-frosty-shake/

Jstroud, it's ketoacidosis thats harmful, the result of a lack of insulin. During ketosis, your body is flushing & burning fat at an "extremely high rate".

Thx Tlschwenn, I've been in this WOE for 10 months now. I see all these people after my stroke in 2015. my GP-Dr. Griffin, my kidney-Dr. Ahmin, my cardiologist-Dr. Alnabhan, my Diabetes Center dietician, and diabetes "support" group every month. Every Dr. is astounded by my progress. The plan is to be done with insulin, meds, CPAP, and any other CRAP by February! So far, the plan is ahead of schedule and I am F _ _ _ I N G HAPPY! It all started with Dr. Griffin and his "Unless things change, start planning a funeral in 2-5 years! Go less than 50 carbs a day, and look into Paleo." My hero! So, Jstroud, I appreciate any and all comments, but I am well covered and on the way to a healthier me! Got retirement(one day) and grandkids to be with! (granted Jstroud, I argue with the Blue Cross people every month! 150g carbs a day is what they want! But, Dr. Griffin wants 50g carbs and 100lbs lost in a year so, they will have to wait!)
