Pegasus9's Journal, 27 November 2016

After a short post Disney recovery, I headed into the biggest Anti-Diet day of the year. Since this was a combined Family Gathering for Christmas and Thanksgiving, I gave up the diet for the week to enjoy the foods of the season.

Next week I head out of town for a week, so getting back into diet mode will be easy.

Hope you all made it through your challenge week with minimal damage to goals and loss hopes.

Welcome back to being on track. I did really well at Thanksgiving and for the month of November, too. It's been my best month since I started in April. I'm currently reading "Fat Chance" by Dr Robert Lustig which I'm starting to think that every overweight person struggling with weight needs to check out. It's really made me see that "it's not my fault and I'm not weak or a loser, or lack willpower or determination" in my struggle to lose weight. Good luck to you. Have a good week. I'm rooting for you.

I think I found an interesting diet aid, freeze dried vegetables. You must avoid the high calorie ones such as corn and peas, and also you must avoid the ones with added fats or sugars, but 3.5 oz of freeze dried okra seems to have kept me feeling full the last 24 hours. That may be equivalent to two lbs of fresh or canned or frozen okra. I have found green beans, broccoli and cabbage that is freeze dried on amazon and have ordered it for variety
