more often than not it is the persons diet that does the uneasy feeling, back when i started all this health stuff i use to down a cople of shakes a day and my tummy would hurt real bad, it was only when i started consuming whole foods, with plenty of good carbs and veggies and some fruit, now i have a shake ina recipe every day and i feel fine, but when i realied on protein shakes regardless of who made it i had upset stomach

I can't eat anything soy based. It ties up my guts!

It might also have to do with what it's sweetened with. Erythritol has a light laxative effect on me, while maltitol gives me nausea and cramps.

Thank you all for responding!! There is some good information here and many things to consider. I will definitely need to pay more attention to what's in my drink to determine my triggers. I tried Muscle Milk yesterday because it was in our vending machine. I do think that I would prefer to make my own. Then there are no funky ingredients. Thanks everyone!

They don't bother me at all but I talked my husband into one and he was VIOLENTLY sick, both ends.....don't know what did it but he won't try any more!

WOW!! Thankfully I didn't get that sick. Poor guy. I wouldn't try another one after that either!

What brand? I've used Phase 8...powder in almond milk...milk chocolate isn't bad...and no side effects.

I tried Muscle Milk yesterday. I will have to try other brands. Thanks for the suggestion.

There are many types of protein sources: whey, pea, hemp, egg white in the protein powders. Vega brand sells a vegan one that people seem to like
