Hey gang,

Yesterday was a tough day for me.

Work really affected me - I had to make decisions that will drastically impact another persons life and income in a negative way, and this is never fun. This is the worst one I've had to do yet - and that really impacted on me. I love my job, and I get to do a lot of good for people, but working within a set law sometimes forces us to give bad news to people.

This made me completely out of balance last night - I am new in this and still learning how to cope with it. So last night - the solution was low calorie ice cream LOADED with not-at-all-low-calorie chocolate! LOL. Well, yeah, I gave in. I made it a conscious decision, and was ready to take a beating on the scale today. However, the beating never came. I lost 400 grams since yesterday. I'm happy about that, though I think it would have been a better lesson for me if I had gained.

So - tonight is the night. Thanksgiving.

Before I get into all my plans on this, I'd like to say thanks to ALL you wonderful people that I've met and that I have regular communications with here on FatSecret. I love you all! I have never in my life met so many positive, fun, admirable, inspirational and generally AWESOME people anywhere before.
I have to give thanks for losing all my weight and almost being done with it. Which again leads right back to you guys - YOU have been my inspiration all the way, and I love that I now get to pay so much back to this community. You guys have - probably literally - saved my life.

I can never thank you enough for this.

Now, the plans. Today is Indulgence Day for me. I will, however, try to make it a low calorie Indulgence Day, to avoid it screwing with my weigh-ins for too long. I skipped I.D. last Saturday, and I most likely will skip I.D. again Saturday (as it's only two days away). I've had a little extra good breakfast with Wife (who took the day off to cook for her wonderful husband - Thanks babe!), and I have good leftovers from yesterday to eat at work. But neither meals go overboard in calories like I normally do on Indulgence Day.

I am saving it all for dinner. I know it's gonna be a huge feast, and there are gonna be many good friends present, so I want to enjoy. I want food, wine, desserts, the works. I will, however, register ALL of it. If you go look at my food journal, I have already entered most of the dishes, with an estimate of how much I eat. Before the meal, I will "reset" all the amounts, and add to them as I go. This makes entering food on the fly much easier, and there will be just a little bit of administrative work along with dinner. My friends all know my habits on this by now, and they're so supportive of this that there is no weirdness about it. They've obviously seen the results, and they do everything they can to help.

I posted a Thanksgiving thread in the forum. I propose that we log our foods on Thanksgiving night, and copy/paste it in there. I think it would be fun to see how we all did, and learn from everyone - both good and bad things. Maybe share a few observations along the way too.

I will definitely do this when I have finished eating, and before I go to bed.

So, today is my long day at work. I will however see if I can skip out a little early. I am off at 5 pm, guests will be here at 6 pm. It would be nice with an extra hour at home before they arrive. We'll see. I'm not sure yet what the day will bring.

So, everyone, please have an awesome Thanksgiving! This is a special day, make sure to enjoy it every bit of the way.

Life is good!

EDIT: I completely forgot: This morning, to make a little more room for turkey, I spend a full hour on the exercise bike. And yes, I was bicycling, not just sitting there. :D

LOL!!! Aren't exercise bikes really someplace to hang clothes??? Good for you Kingkeld!!! I'm looking forward to our meal ... which will be early this afternoon for us since hubby has to work tonight. I agree with you about this place ... it is awesome. I have had those difficult days at work ... and relate to the desire to self-medicate with foods. It is something I have to be very careful about because I can find every excuse in the world to eat whatever I want on a regular basis if I let myself go on auto-pilot!! LOL!! I hope your day at work passed quickly and you find yourself at the table with friends, family, and great food very soon!!!
